    <summary type="html">OK...  I went to Portland and attended a 4 day Famoudou Konate workshop this past weekend.  It was, by far, the most significant West African drumming event I have ever experienced.  I strongly recommend taking it if you can.  There are only two workshops still to happen on this continent this year and both within the next week and a half.&#xD;
&#xD;
We learned four rhythms, one each day.  He explained much of the history, culture and societal issues.</summary>
